Qualification
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or qualification equivalent of level 6
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar children’s leader role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the children department
- Create child-friendly environment that considers Health and Safety requirements
- Teach the children Godly values and morals
- Prepare and deliver child-friendly sermons including creative and educative spiritual
materials for children
- Engage the children in creative arts and crafts
- Organise and provide suitable snacks and meals for the Children
- Lead the children church in praise, worship and prayers
- Deputise for the Senior Pastor
- Perform pastoral care duties and conducts some services in accordance with our
constitution
Requirements for the role
- Must be a born-again Christian, believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten son of God,
the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible as the word of God
- Active, daily, personal devotional life
- Open to the move and voice of God
- An active, Pentecostal Christian
- Ability to communicate effectively with adults (parents, team members, church
leadership etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with children and young people and proficiency in
English Language
- Ability to use modern and innovative ways to communicate
- Ability to lead or participate in church services
Experience
- Regularly leading under 18s clubs in a church or Christian organisation
- Actively leading under 18s discipleship in a church context, (e.g. Sunday School)
- Experience of team leading
- Experience of organising holiday clubs
- Ability to work proactively and with minimal or no supervision
- Experience of teaching children the bible and leading congregational worship in an
ethnically diverse congregation is desirable.
