Qualification
- Ability to read chord charts or sheet music is desirable
- A Bachelor’s degree or qualification equivalent of level 6
Responsibilities
- Provide keyboard accompaniment during worship services, prayer meetings, and special church events
- Collaborate with the choir and music director to arrange and rehearse worship songs
- Lead or support praise and worship sessions with spirit-led performance
- Maintain and care for the church’s musical equipment
- Assist with musical training for junior instrumentalists or youth choirs when needed
- Be available for midweek rehearsals and Sunday services consistently
Requirements for the role
- A genuine passion for gospel music and worship
- Strong knowledge of different gospel music styles (traditional, contemporary, African gospel)
- Ability to play by ear and follow spontaneous worship flow
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong spiritual commitment and alignment with church values
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience playing the keyboard in a church or gospel music setting
- Previous participation in a worship team or choir is an added advantage
- Experience with live sound equipment and music software is a plus
